I saw a manual trans talon blow a rear differential during a burnout. This was after the guy had been through at least 2 transmissions, I think. Maybe 3, lost count. His destroyed parts count is, uh, high. I also have another friend in a LS1 car who has grenaded rearends and transmissions, in an attempt to drag race manual transmissions. This is really simple: if you want to drag race, and simultaneously be fast, have fun, and minimize wasted money, get an automatic. *broken record*
